The only thing I know about the Isle of Wight is that the Who played an awsome performance there...I've seen the Video-- when Keith Moon was alive. Just amazing performances.

Also that is a legendarily beautiful place-- in the channel?

Its a fantastic place to live, its kinda diamond shaped 13 miles top to bottom 26 miles side to side, just off the south coast of the UK

Theres more of a laid back attitude here than on the mainland

Hendrix also did a magnificent set here at the Isle Of Wight Festival, this year we had The Police and the Sex Pistols (We can hear it from our house)

Over the downs in the centre of the island are some beautiful views

Nice link-- 'at's a keeper.
The Police, eh? My Brother-in-laws band used to do "Driven to Tears" perfectly... bass-line/drum timings/everything. Stinks with musical talent-- what's he do ? Website design. Plays out at clubs for fun.
