I don't know how many countries celebrate Father's Day on the 3rd Sunday in June, or any day for that matter.

For the ones that do, let me extend a Happy Father's Day to the Dads out there. My daughter just called me and we had a nice long chat. I wish the same and better for all Dads.

Step-Dads count too...
Though they are often overlooked.

I have 2 also-- both adults (their mother and I are still married)
and one step-grandson age 5 1/2-- going on 12

My stepson has never married (smartest guy I know!!), and recently went back to college fulltime having served ~2 years in the National Guard and ~11 years active. After over a year in Kosovo and surrounding areas (MP/medic/Airborne - pure murder), 18 months living in a tent in Germany, and the reality of going to Iraq next for over a year, he got the *&^%$#@! out of Dodge and became a civilian. A few years of dead end jobs convinced him to use his GI Bill for school.

My stepdaughter has a son (my ex-stepgrandson??), and my daughter is 17 going on smarter than her parents. Good kid, very good grades, and very respectful. A rare combination to my experience (I'm not biased in any way, can you tell?? ).
