Good job!! Now comes the fun part. All the tile corners & odd-sized fill pieces, base moulding, shoe mould, fixtures, vanities/cabinets, cosmetics.

Just wondering, is the hole in the floor hard to 'hit'??

Que? That's a drain, this is the grooming area of the vet clinic I work at lol
As for molding, I have the old baseboards, I'll just nail then back on tomorrow

This was long overdue, the floor was in horrible shape and I don't think that I can show that any better than with these two pictures: (the bits of random sized new tile in the first one was put in by me to make sure the new floor was level, there was nothing there before except the cement subfloor

Yup, the hole in the floor remark was obviously a joke. It's proximity to the wall and lack of holddown studs (or wax seal) was a clue. The 1st batch of pics didn't show the drain screen, but they're easy to see in the 2nd batch. Still in all, good job.

I spent many years working at floor level (about half my time) doing trim carpentry, building custom cabinets, and when the bottom fell out of the new housing business around 1980, I resorted to interior home remodeling (aaarrrggghhh!!). There's NOTHING WORSE than the wife of a homeowner who THINKS she knows carpentry better than a carpenter!! The law, the threat of jailtime, and the ability to bite my tongue until it bled is all that kept me out of trouble, "Yes Ma'am, whatever you say Ma'am........" It drove me to drink and a slight career change.

Yeah, I'm the Kennel Worker there, I'm also the unofficial maintenance man, I've done everything from plumbing to roofing there...
Here's a little before & after of what I've been up to recently:
Dog Ward before: (where boarding dogs are kept)

After: (One of the lights is broken, got a temp light up there, waiting on a new fluorescent)

Back hall before:

After: (Repainted it Yellow with white trim)

Laundry room Before:
After: (Painted the same yellow as the hall, the ceiling was painted white)

This was the laundry room way before, with the old door (that I replaced btw...)

Grooming before: (This is the room I'm tiling now)

And After I painted it (I didn't pick these colors, nor am I too fond of them, I prefer the cooler colors but I'm not the groomer, so it wasn't my choice...and yeah, a light in there is broken as well)

As you can see...I've been busy there...

10-4 on the busy. My daughter would love it there. She's wanted to be a veterinarian since she could say the word. That child has had gerbils, hamsters, lizzards, salamanders, cats, birds, a dog (Golden Retriever - Brinkley), squirrels, you name it. Almost a female version of Dr. Dolittle. This fall she starts her senior year in high school (FWiW, I was ~39 when she was born) and is still set on getting accepted to the Vet School @ Mississippi State.

Yeah it's pretty cool there, I'm mainly left to do as I wish, I'm all alone in the back while the vets, techs, and receps deal with the clients up front.
Here's the front of the clinic:

In that picture I'm more or less responsible for the lights (they're new), the blinds, and I've since replaced the front door hardware
All of this was approved by the boss first of course...
