This is a shift in the thread topic BUT:

It's cost me 2 long-term friendships, but I voted for Barack Obama in the primaries and WILL vote for him in the General election. 'Billary' Clinton is out of her gourd and out of the race; and a vote for John McCain is nothing more than a thumbs up for continueing the disaster initiated by Georgie Bush.

If you want a heart atttack (yes, with 3 t's!!), eyeball this site: U.S. National Debt Clock . You can click on your refresh button every few seconds and see the US debt increasing right before your eyes. The main driver for the increase is the $5,000/second war in the middle east costs the US (plus a little thing called interest), ALL of it borrowed from Historical enemies like China and Japan to name but two of them. We HAVE to borow the money because the US is BROKE.

The bottom line is, the US government will mess the Internet up for all of America because they have the Midas touch. Everything Washington lays it's hands on will turn to S*&^%$#@T, and they have the Internet in their sights. It's only a matter of time. I believe they will screw it up BEFORE 2012.

Just as people are putting up with four dollars a gallon (and more) for gasoline, people will put up with fifty dollars a month for internet access. Look at how much people pay for cell phone connectivity.

Friend Cobracon, I am sorry that you should lose friendship in this manor. Friendship should be based on trust and caring. Not on politics. I may not agree with my friends but I trust that they do what is right for them. I see this world through a different set of eyes so while my opinion is valid it is not binding. Vote as your mind and experience tells you.

As far as the Clock? I was there when it was started. It is a scare tactic. Trust me or not, It is a relic that has out lived its time. The countries around this world have too much invested in the US. By the way, China used to be an Ally as was Russia and Japan. Times change and so do friends it seems...
