Obviously most of us are here because we needed help with some computer problem but I was wondering why/how you came to be here, so I thought I'd ask...

My story:
My dad gave me an old Fujitsu Lifebook 435dx (133mhz, 48mb ram, 1.3gb HD) that displayed the "Operating System Not Found" message upon startup, and it refused to let me install an OS (Windows 98 or NT 4.0), I spent some time at Computing.net and while some tried to help me solve this problem there were a lot of impatient people and their posts showed it., after I received this reply I moved on.
Doesn't that sort of negate the point of a computer help forum?
Anyway, after that a google search took me here and I've never looked back...

Ok, I ended up here after i broke my girlfriends PC, i tried to do a repair install on it, didnt have a clue what i was doing, didnt realise the recovery cd i had was faulty and generally broke everything!! (I`m still getting comments about that)
The PC ended up down the PC shop getting all the files recovered, a Format and reinstall (£25=bargain!!)
So after that i decided i better learn a bit more about Pc`s, typed PC HELP FORUM into google and found this treasure trove of help and info, and here i am, about 8 months later a moderator on here with a head 1000% fuller of Pc info than it was before!!

Summer '07 i belive, i bought a new graphics card and i had a problem, so i typed in google, Pc help forum, them exact words and here i am.

Truthfully i got banned from geek to go. Then i searched Pc Help on google and found it.

Same apart from I think it was a problem with my speakers, cant remember

I woke up one morning in early 2004 and thought "I know, I'll create a cool site for ordinary PC users to get help and support with none of the usual forum rubbish, such as swearing and bullying"

...and the rest is history
