the joomla community sucks, i'll post here what i posted there 3 days ago:

unlike php fusion which i was previously using i dont see any artticles menu set up by default in the installation???

how do i get the article menu to appear

I have a php-fusion cms, i write articles there, check out the articles menu at the left here: http://www.softmall.org/fusion

is there any similar option for joomla, so that i don have to create a new page for every article?

I have used Joomla before and know quite a bit about it. This site runs on joomla aswell and vb for the forums.

You can add joomla articles by logging into your administrator panel at www.yourdomainname.org/joomladirectory/administrator

On the top menu for the admin panel, click Content, then content by section, then News > News Items.

Then you can add a new article and publish/unpublish etc by using the buttons in the top right.

thx but that does not solve my problem, as i said in my php-fusion cms here SoftMall on the left there is an articles menu, which itself arranges articles into submenu and all this is done from the admin panel.

my joomla does not have this option.

umm when i go there i get this menu, still does not help me

As said on your post in the joomla community. I don't think there is a function for that which comes with joomla and you will need to install an add-on. Is this answer not what you needed?

they must have posted that right now, ill check it out later when im back on windows. Im on ubuntu right now and am not that good at it.

ill check out the mod and post any progress.
