It's not really a hierarchy, atleast it doesn't feel like one in the sense you don't ever really feel 'lower' than anyone else.

The 'bronze member' etc is based on post count, that's all, for the Security analysts mods and techs, they normally apply based on what they are comfortable with.

Hi there the ranking system works like this:

New Member - 0 to 6 posts
Bronze Member - 7 to 99 posts
Silver Member - 100 to 199 posts
Gold Member - 200 to 349 posts
Elite Member - 349+ posts

To become a Moderator, you need to post regularly on the site, and be friendly to new members, greet them, and also some background knowledge with PC's is helpful but not required.

To become a tech you need to meet the above criteria, but also have more in depth knowledge on the hardware and software sides of I.T

To become a security analyst you need to meet the criteria of a moderator, but also be qualified in malware removal and read logs (HiJackThis, Spysweeper etc).
