The same holds true for plumbers/auto mechanics/electricians... though their accomplishments are less invisible.
My best friend is an auto mechanic--has been for 25+ years... people call his house at 2AM to come rescue their broken-down junker.
What you must have for equipment to work on modern cars is insane--every time a new model-year comes out-- there's a whole line of "special tools" that come with them.
His boss owns the Garage-- his tool payment is the size of a small mortgage. His toolbox is insured for $150,000.00-- and that probably would not replace everything.
