Default reformatting and partition question

hi everyone

just a quick Q

i got a hewlett packard pc and it has a partition of 5GB so if i need to forma back to factory standard i just simply restart pc and tap F10 and it reboots from the partition....

NOW ... my question is...

can i add files to the partition tyo save me having to back up all my wanted files on to disc every time?

like all my spy ware software and my ftp and other stuff could it be set to make it reboot to factory standard but with the selected files in the partition as its a pain in the **** reinstalling them every time

cheers

Hya Extreme-mobile.

I think you should be able to use the free space for backup without problems, but it only has 897mb free so you wouldn't gain much though.

That wont be possible I'm afraid, you would have to create a custom slipstreamed installation cd from scratch if you want to do that. And you would need an Windows cd for it aswell, not the HP recovery files.
