Default Case Modelling

Hi all

I have a design in mind for changing my plain boring side panel into a cool design with viewing windows to see the internal mechanics of my pc.

I have a coolermaster Centurion ATX case in Aluminum and want to spice it up so I have knocked together a design for cutting out pieces and insert Perspex on the inside with a 120dia fan in the middle, so I was wondering if any of you knew of any problems with doing this kind of customisation or anything I need to consider before doing so.

I post my design when it is complete.

Basically, you have to be aware of heat / radiation... (odd really)...when people use their computers with cases off all the time...

Make sure the seal around the perspects is good and strong

I've considered doing it to my case - but i'm much too lazy, i'd prefer to buy a case with a window in it already and rebuild my computer in that

Measure 3 times - Cut once

Yeah i agree the seal between the perspex needs to be good im going to silicone it to the frame befor i screw it in position.

I could be lazy and buy one but i'm too creative plus doing it yourself enables you to create any design your heart desires

Heres mine, still got quite a bit of detail to add but it gives you a great idea of what the actual thing will look like. found a cool fan grille and decided to mount it on the outside of the panel to show it off. I also like the design in silver of white, not sure which looks best.

That's actually really good. Good luck

Personally, I'm not too sure about the ATI label, what if you ever change?
But still...that's pretty good. Post the final product when you're finished!

Also...go for silver.

Doubt I will ever change from ATI cards, I think the cards are awsome. and will always use ATI products.
