Default [Answered] Copy and Paste

Recently I read an article in relation to netbanking and other online requirements that need a password or some form of typed ID.

In the article it advised those, that do use these services, to keep their passwords etc in ie: word pad etc etc.

When one goes to log onto, say netbank, is to copy your password from your document where u have saved it and paste it to what ever u want to get into.

The reason was to avoid keyloggers.

Not sure if this is usefull information but I suppose it would have its merits?

Or am I behind the times and thats what most people do .

Perfectly reasonable thing to do - However if someone did manage to get a keylogger onto your system, and spent the time monitoring it, I would suggest that they'd just as easily be able to discover that file on your system too.

Perhaps it is more safe, but it's not fail-proof.
