That's exactly right!

My concern is, do you still have a bay available for the PCI card to go into? I would probably remove the ethernet PCI card, and replace that slot with the new wireless card.

Did you make the PC? or did someone else make it for you?

Usually, replacing a card is simple; Take off the cover, ground yourself by touching a non-painted part of the computer, remove or disconnect the lock on the PCI bays if there is one, or unscrew the screws holding the existing card in place. Align the new card into the slot you have just removed the old card from. Make sure it is securly seated. Either rescrew in the new card, or relock the bays.

Reboot your computer, and install any software that may have come with the card.

Let me know if you have any difficulties.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Hey

I didn't build the PC no, the only things I changed were the Power Supply, RAM, and the Graphics Card - I have absolutly no idea where the PCI slots or even the PCI card is. I just opened it up to take a look and nothing really stood out to me - the only things that seemed to be "slotted" into the mother board were the graphics card/RAM/Processor.

It does sound easy enough to install though, granted I can figure out where to put it Thanks for the reply,

Graham

I won't leave you hanging that much!

In the back of the PC, where you plug your ethernet cable in, that is the PCI ethernet card.

When the cover is off, and you can see the area where the cable plugs in from the side, that should be a card, which opens up to the back of the PC.

That would be where I would put my new wireless card in.

If you look at it, does what I am describing make sense?

Looking forward to your reply,

Hey

Hmm I don't see any "cards" with something from the outside connecting into the inside (aside from my graphics card). However, looking at that picture Blue posted, I have 5 of those PCI slots on my motherboard - none of which are being used. So I'd just slot the card into that and close the case back up, and I'm done?

Thanks for your replies guys,

Graham
