Smile Ergonomic 4000 keyboard

Hello all,

I've got one of those Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboards and it works great, until
recently.
My Favorites key's are no longer working. There are five and I had them all
assigned. Just the other day they stopped working. I went back to default
which erased them all and I tried to reassign them. They reassign OK but
when you press one of them it does not bring up the website but rather
says there is nothing assigned to it.
I am at a loss, anyone with that problem who has the keyboard?
Thank's for the help.

Hi there, seems like a driver problem, this means the computer won't know what to do as it dosent recognize the button, do you have a disk for the keyboard? If yes just re-install the drivers from the disk, If you don't have disk, post your keyboard make and model and someone will find a driver for it, hope this helps yours Dave

Thank you,
I thought that is what I would have to do. I do have the disk. I guess I uninstall
the program and then reinstall.

Yes, just simply uninstall the program from start-->control panel-->add remove programs, and select the keyboard off there and click remove, you may be required to restart your computer, then insert the disk and re-install, hope this helps, let us know how it goes
