Hi All,

I'm new here and i'm not much of a techie but i'd surely appreciate any help I can get. I've been hacing issues with my YM. Everytime I Right Click on ANYTHING in YM, it automatically exits itself so I'd have to start YM again and log-in again to start using it.

This may sound like a simple problem but it's annoying. Have already tried re-installing YM but the problem still persists.

Please help.. Anyone...

It only happends with YM? Not with any other apps?

Lets have a look for malware first. If you click on the "Prework" link below in my sig , follow those instructions , and post the two resulting log files when done then we'll start there.

Thanks joe5! I'll follow your instructions but it will take a while. I'm doing it already. Yes, I believe it only happens to YM. Will post again once I'm done.

by the way, it doesn't happen only when i right-click in YM. it also happens when i click on the smiley icon and other icons in the conversation windows of YM.

When i rebooted my system and tried to log in via safemode (to run ewido per instructions), i hit the f8 key but the PC just prompted me to choose where to reboot from:

floppy drive
hard drive
cd/dvd drive

i chose hard drive, naturally. But i never got to log into safe mode. could this be because my PC has multiple user accounts and has to star from the welcome screen first before going straight to desktop?

anyhow, i ran ewido nevertheless. i'm just about to start running hijack this, but please let me know if there's anything i need to re-do.

Are you using a "skinning" program such as WindowBlinds to change the appearance of your Windows desktop etc?
