As deadly as this substance is, it is used widely in home, commercial, and military venues.
Some home uses include:
- Baby food
- Preservative in fresh fruit
- Base in some refrigerated foods
- Shampoos
Some commercial uses include:
- Used as a detergent in heavy duty clothes washing
- As an energy boost for tired employees
- Fire suppressant and ******ant
Some older naval vessels also use DHMO for propulsion.
The scary fact is that 98% of high schoolers use DHMO daily.
DHMO is also used as a performance enhancer. When taken in large quantities before an athletic event and used periodically throughout the event, it helps boost performance. Some symptoms of large DHMO intake include nausia, bloating, vomiting, dizziness, and fainting.
A coalition has been formed to ban the use of DHMO in the United States. This coalition has many members, however, some are trying to block the banning of this substance, including athletes, farmers, and doctors.
Again, it is imperative that you exercise extreme caution when you believe you have been exposed to this substance. It is highly toxic and deadly in most instances. If you believe you have been exposed to DHMO, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
DHMO is known as Dihydrogen Monodxide, Dihydrogenoxide, or by it's street name, water.
