Default The Smilies Have Left The Building!

Hey All,

It may come to your attention that there are a LOT LESS smilies then there used to be, and as you read through some threads, you may find text where once there were adorable smilies.

So here's the thing; ever since we moved over to this new format the smilies have been driving me BATTY!! They rotate, we had litterally 5 versions of some and several of all of the others, it was a big mess.

So I begged and begged Hengis to fix it, and he said he would, but he's really, really busy, and FINALLY, he gave me permission to do it, and I did. We now officially have only ONE copy of each and every smilie.

So if you find yourself without a smilie to fully express your feelings, please post it here, and I will attempt to find it for you. (Remember folks, family friendly )

TTFN

a very much happier LGW

Great to have only one of each.

But did the codes change aswell? Alot of already posted smillies don't work anymore now.

EDIT , yup they've changed.. also doesn't work anymore.

I think al the "double" smillies had actually different names and by removing them , all the already posted smillies with the removed names are gone from the forum now.

So alot have actually left the forum indeed. Can they be restored without actually re-adding them as choices?

Thanks for bringing that up Joe, depending on which version was used, they were all very different, O0 for example had two different codes on the server for the same smiley, he isn't anymore. The ones who are in the drop down menu and in the smilie box, will all be the current versions.

Does that make sense?

LGW

Sorry no, that was the problem, I'm not sure if it was that the old software could recognize that different codes pointed at the same smilie, but when we moved over, each code had to have it's own smilie. Do you want me to list the codes incase people would rather type them then click on the smilie they want?

No not from the move , but from removing them from the list just now. All of them worked with different names untill now. But all already posted smillies wich names has been removed now dont work anymore and that looks pretty messy imo.

Can the code of those smillies be re-added to the forum so that they work again , but without adding the double smillies to the choice list again?

Hmmm...I think you should change afro back to please as it was only used as

Edit: OK Bossman, no worries. It was "afro: in the generic smilies section, that's why I changed the name to Right On, but was the second, I'll change it back. LGW
