Ashamed to be an American?

Well here we go again. Took bush only 5 days to get to New Orleans.. Makes 7 minutes look like forever. Sure you can say the governor wouldn't let the government in, but I don't believe everything I read in the paper's. The 82nd infantry division of our Airborne special services could get anywhere in the world in 18 hours or less,(got to Iraq in 14 hour's) have yet to arrive.I am now ashamed to be an American.. I say lets get Bush out of there now while he can, before he overturns roe vs wade, and other things. And his Mother, saying "THEY" were under privileged so this would be a great start for 'THEM. Make Marie Antoinette look like the pope huh? I would have to say this to a guy that wants the Ten Commandants in all the court's that excuse me but those are from the "old testament"... In other words NOT JESUS...Jesus gave us the B attitudes did he not? I mean come on we now have freedom fries because France would not support our ignorance. How low can we get? We are still giving tax cut's even after just today we gave 60 billion dollars to the south.. I believe they need it.. But we don't need our tax cuts..Governor Bush..(I only say that because that is the last thing he was really elected into) we know your a faith based president, and from what I am gathering God is speaking to you...And he is saying... GET THE HINT.... Last thing I can say is we are becoming a fascist country.. Fascist's are run by coperations...Ok my rant is done.. Time to get back to work :

Ashamed to be Belgian?

No, Allthough we are a country of 30380 square kilometers (11,730 square Miles) with five governments :-o , three official languages the highest tax rate in the world (55% taxes on everything you earn and 21% VAT on everything you buy) and a social security system with more profiteers you can imagine and still people who really need help are left in the cold.
Traffic jams of 2 to 4 hours to travel 100 Km (60 Miles) everyday. Fuel prices of 1,4 Eur / liter (= 4,65 US $ / Gallon) :
I cannot think of one efficient government operation in the last 10 years. :banghead:

Still I'm not ashamed to be a Belgian or a Flemming since the people I daily live with are good people. (Or should I?)

I traveled a lot to the US for business and pleasure in the last years and I can say that the people I've worked with are great to work with, always willing to help (more than I see in Europe) and very friendly.

So, should you be ashamed to be and American..., I don't think so...

I rest my case.... ed:
