Ashamed to be Belgian?
No, Allthough we are a country of 30380 square kilometers (11,730 square Miles) with five governments :-o , three official languages the highest tax rate in the world (55% taxes on everything you earn and 21% VAT on everything you buy) and a social security system with more profiteers you can imagine and still people who really need help are left in the cold.
Traffic jams of 2 to 4 hours to travel 100 Km (60 Miles) everyday. Fuel prices of 1,4 Eur / liter (= 4,65 US $ / Gallon)

:
I cannot think of one efficient government operation in the last 10 years. :banghead:
Still I'm not ashamed to be a Belgian or a Flemming since the people I daily live with are good people. (Or should I?)
I traveled a lot to the US for business and pleasure in the last years and I can say that the people I've worked with are great to work with, always willing to help (more than I see in Europe) and very friendly.
So, should you be ashamed to be and American..., I don't think so...
I rest my case....
