You are treading on some seriously dangerous ground, I stayed out of the Bush chat you had with Merlin, but you are speaking retoric without having life experience or firsthand knowledge to back it up.

I realize that your parents have views that they have instilled in you and I respect that. Please know that there are many different circumstances that people can find themselves in and until you have actually lived in more than one, you are on shaky ground making assumptions about the experiences or decisions of others.

Also, the Bush administration was told in 2002, about exactly this scenario regarding the levees by the head of the US Army Corp of Engineers, he was forced to resign for telling the administration something I'll bet they wish they had listened to now. (My husband works for the USACOE)

Please show some restraint when posting slanders about others, I know you have a good heart and a good head on your sholders, understand that provocative statements provoke.

It is good to show that opinion. I am totally against people living off of the government on purpose for the reason of that we are paying for it. Other than that....on the topic of the people who stayed behind, there was a good eal of handicapped, ignorant, and just clueless people that stayed behind. All have had to go through hell equally out there with the rapes and murders going on and such. To top all that off they are starving so this recent relief effort is arriving just in time hopefully yo help as many as they can get to.

Well help has gotten there to late in my opinion. I know bush seen some of the people standing on there rooftop's probly before I did. Yet they were still there? And being filmed...Either this is a ploy (which I doubt) or we as American's are very selfish.. I understand why the filming helicoptor's wouldnt go near the tree's as there were many tree's around the house. But our Nationall Guard and Red Cross should have been there the same night it hit IMHO. To see people sitting on there rooftops and stuck elsewhere I question our ethic's.. It's worth more money to suit there and film the storm than to help some people out, and get them out of there. No matter if they get government help or not, there all human.. Isnt that what we are saying about the Iraqi people?? But tkaes us longer to save our own than it did to take over Iraq.. A little to much if you ask me..(sorry I dont do paragrahphs lol)
