In one way I think it is a great idea, on the other hand, it can be destructive if you get people not paying up or not sending this or that and they would blame Hengis or all the mod's even though we would have no control over it. If it does go on there should be a big not our responsibility clause. I voted great idea, but then again the latter.

What about a space for ads instead of a full out auction? Merlin's points are well advised, it could become, mmm, "complicated". However, there is a site I caught wind of while doing some research that's called FreeAds, it's a UK site and allows posters to communicate things they would like to sell with folks who might be interested. Set haggling as a standard and the site is basically left harmless. Also, require PayPal as the norm for payment and the concept of non payment or payment recieved but item not shipped is removed as well.
