Question [Resolved] Live CD won't boot !

Hi All, I thought I'd give linux a go but as a Live cd before going into the full install. Anyway, I downloaded the .ISO of puppy linux (as this is suposed to run from a multisession disc so all saved files can be burned back to disc before closing), burned the iso with Nero 6, set the BIOS to boot from CD, popped the disc into the drive, hit restart, and hey presto!! I got Windows!!!!!... Any Ideas what I did wrong?

Check the MD5 checksum of the iso matches the one on their website.

You might wanna try closing the disk, just in case.

Thumbs up Sorted

After much messing around and time wasted burning discs, it appears that the drive which created the live cd refused to read it ( i've come to the conclusion that my drive is female!).
I've no idea why it won't read it, I guess that's electronics for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
Ian

You're not alone. There are many reported cases of live CDs not booting. There's an alternate version of the CD that will install Ubuntu, but will not have a live enviornment. You could try that (btw, I'm typing this from an Ubuntu Live CD ).
