Hi & welcome

Bit more info please...

When does the PC re-boot, in Windows, Linux or when it's starting/booting?

Do you get any type of error message?

What Anti-virus do you use?

Download this from Symantec and run it to make sure your problem isn't virus related.

Are you wanting to install the Linux alongside Windows XP or do you want it to be the only operating system?

If you are wanting to run Linux alongside Windows XP then you will need to partition your harddrive so that you can setup a "Dual-Boot" system.

Checkout the installation guide for Linux Suse 9.2
