Oh and if this helps any, I was doing some research on how to run a diagnostics test and it said that if you couldnt get anything up on screen to press the mute button and the power button, this worked the first time, and said it ws running diagnostics ( I got very excited) and then it just shut itself down again! And now I'm back to square one as I cant get it to boot at all, green flashes on for a second then goes off and nothing, the battery light still indicates that its charging?
Thanks for you help!
hi
this sounds like a power issue from the nature of the problem,
it would be a good idea to get hold of a friends charger unit or to test that side of things as it may be giving something out, but if its not the correct voltage and amps then that would also give these symptoms,
if you cant borrow one then maybe you could take it to a repair shop and ask them to test it,that would at least eliminate the external power side of it ,
if you press slightly more firmly than usual on the power button is there a difference ?
is the connection jack on the laptop secure and of a firm fit when plugged in ?
