How much memory you can install depends on the chipset (and the available slots) What Model is your notebook, and what Operating System do you use? Also: Is it 32 or 64-bit?

According to this:Acer Aspire One 751: 11.6-inches, Atom Z520 & May launch - SlashGear Your system has only 1 (one) memory slot, and so supports up to 2GB of memory.
