I am going nuts. When i use my synaptics touchpad V7.2 on PS/ 2 port to control the movement in internet explorer or firefox, it will bring me forward or back to the previous pages. How do I disable this? Please help.
*note I know some people says its a bug with firefox but when i go to about:config , its already set to not allow that moreover when i am using IE that happens too. So i believe its the problem the the touchpad. How do i configure that?

If the Synaptics driver is installed, and it probably comes preinstalled, there's a little tray icon, a red swirl. Right click it, and select configure or something, I don't have one myself. Sometimes there are extra tabs on the window "Mouse properties".
