Laptop Support - No USB on laptop posted in the Hardware forums; well the thing is, i don't have that anymore... when i gave my laptop for repairing, instead of fixing my USB , they broke the card slot.. Thanx guys for ...

well the thing is, i don't have that anymore... when i gave my laptop for repairing, instead of fixing my USB , they broke the card slot..

well they fixed the USB , and gave me a discount but it broke again after a month. lucky me

well my friend it would seem there is no easy solution , i would suggest that you have alook inside the lappy yourself and see if you can see what is broken on the pcmcia slot and attempt to repair or try repairing the usb ports again yourself , if your not comfortable in doing that then its down to the local repair shop (at a cost of course) . or flog it on ebay as spares ,

hi , just thought i would let you all know that what ding dong asked for originally "a printer port to ps2 adapter" does exist ,
i was recently given a box of bits by someone and in it there was an adapter that went from serial printer to com port and then there was attached to this a com port to ps2 port .
wow so in answer to ding dong 123 yes you can get such an adapter sort of , as it would actually be 2 adapters that fit together

i will post a picture later for reference

i really didnt think such a thing existed ,but hey great it does
and may well get you out of a fix dingdong123
