Default Laptop Lost detection of network card

Hey so ok my girlfriend uses her laptop off our home internet connection wirelessly, and last night she told me that it just stop working, and when i went to check , it seems that the laptop is not recognising the network card when we press the WIFI button to turn it on or off it just says NO WIRELESS DEVICE , but in hardware properties its still there and has shown up to be working fine, what could i do to fix this for her

hi madgaz , is the network card showing up in the device manager , and does it have a yellow exclamation mark through it .

if so try right clicking the device and select update driver ,if you have the driver disc for the device put it in the cd-rom drive before you click the update driver tab
