I beleive the fault lies between the power cord and the connector to the side of the p/c, alot of problems are with in the connection to the power cord to the side of the p/c, try and hold it while plugged in and see if it happens again. I had several laptops that did the same thing. I wiggled the connection to the side and found the problem there, and soldered connection inside sometimes breaks its feed and looses connectivity causing this to happen
