Hello, I just built myself a new PC after my five-year-old Athlon system began to look even more decrepit (although removing all the dust with a vacuum cleaner did wonders for the CPU temperature).

With the event of this new PC, I now have a few questions I need answered, and anticipate there'll be more to come, so I've decided to join a computer forum to enlist the help of the millions of far more knowledgeable people that inhabit the wonderful world of the web.

I work for a computer magazine, so I'm not a complete 'n00b', but I'm certainly no expert either.

My favourite thing is ice cream. Then chocolate. But I don't like chocolate ice cream.

Thanks. Hopefully, this PC will last me a long, long time.

Odd fact: I don't know how to upload a custom avatar, but the picture I want to use is called 'applehead'.
