What I've learned about computers I've had to learn the hard way. I am not always able to pay someone else to fix a problem so I have had to learn to resolve most problems on my own, even to the extent of tearing apart and rebuilding a computer. Recently I had the "pleasure' of replacing hard drive in a laptop on my own, looked up the specs, followed the instructions and everything worked out. Personally I would rather work with the software as I can find my way around it much easier, just don't give me something that tells me to refer to your system documentation when this documentation is so sketchy as to be virtually nonexistent.

Well you get the idea, I enjoy computers and being able to help others is a bonus, but sometimes they can be a real pain.
