I'd just like to say hi to everyone, this looks like a well laid out site and I look forward to taking part.

I have been using pcs for about 20 years now and the internet for at least 15 years. I'm totally self educated as far as computers & software are concerned and am pretty much fearless when it comes to delving into the murky depths of my own pc ignorance.

I'm quite handy with spreadsheets and I like to consider myself well skilled in the art of searching the internet as I do use it alot for my research (which is everything connected to freemasonry and the occult). I have a few Yahoo groups and am currently looking to set up a research website to help other as I have thousands of related files.

I'm currently having a little problem with my memory, and I mean my memory as opposed to my pcs memory.
As I have so many files I'd like to create a text list of all of them including directories and roots,etc. I used to know a MSDos code which could do this but my brain refuses to cough up the relevent information. I'm using Windows XP pro but I don't think that makes any difference.

Any help will be gratefully received.
