Hello,

Just want to introduce my self and briefly state my problem. User name is
scattermatter. I know this is just an inrto string so I will be brief. In short, I cleareed my
upper and lower CD/DVD filters in the registry thinking that they would re-build on
boot up but they did not. I do not have the software that came with the drives. I have
new updated drivers for both CD-RW and DVD-RW but it is useless until vboth drives get
recognized. I need help. I was going to re-install XP but I have no drive to put the disk in.
What now?
