New to forums so be kind...have been trying to get an old (1995)GW2K Win 98 upgrade computer up and running after a botched re & re at a local computer store. The thing worked fine b4 the wipe and the reinstall stalls at the floppy drive so here I am!
This is just for giggles, I have a new PC that runs XP that I hated b4 I used it alot and now it is as familiar as 95 and 98. I just love working on stuff especially if it doesn't matter if it ever runs right or not! That way if I mess up, all I have to do is start over!!
Am new to laptops too, b4 my auto accident that leaves me in PAIN from using my desktop, I never wanted a laptop but broke down when I was having definite computer withdrawal. (couldn't play my Zork games and I had just figured out how to config xp to run my fave game of all time The Beast Within) So now I am the proud owner of an Hp tablet laptop that is now at Hp waiting for a new motherboard after only 2 months at home...I think I am an electromagnetic monster or something, I tend to have bad luck with electronics! But I am still trying to get thru it, maybe therapy....?
