Currently living in Perth Western Australia, originally from the UK, emigrated 25 years ago.
Currently working in an IT department, for a worldwide company involved in assisting clients in oil & gas exploration, involving oil platforms, and pipe lines, etc.
Other areas of the company's profile involve bridges, and other civil structures, eg. wharves, and habour construction.
Have been involved in IT for the past 32 years, so have seen many developements, and demises of companies such as Digital Equipment Corp, where iI worked in Western Australia for nearly 16 years, before Compaq bought the company, and resized.
Have a variety of PCs at home, including a couple of old Compaq desktop PCs, and a new Dell multimedia PC.
I have probably forgotten more than I learnt, so finding this site, has given me the opportunity to re-awaken the memory banks, for some of the older issues that crop up from time to time.
Looks like great place to share the wealth of knowledge. Look forward to helping where ever I can.
