I went to this page, downloaded the Windows 7 version. It installed all the way. I went to the control panel and found Java under programs. I click on about under the general tab. It says I still have Version 6 Update 17. Help Please?!

In theory Update 18 should have replace 17 BG, what does it say in ADD/Remove Programs?

Ok I deleted version 17 in the add/remove programs. I reinstalled the new version and it worked fine. But now I have another question. This version says its a 32 bit and my computer is a 64 bit. Does this matter or do I need to download the 64 bit version?
