I have fiber internet modem with a NetGear modem with wireless access as well as wired. I have a desktop running XP Home and a laptop running XP Pro. I hooked the laptop to the router for the first time and it gave me an error indicated the connection was unsecured - and I told it to connect anyway and it did, no problem.
I can surf the web, log into Google Talk, log into my bank, my ISP's mail server, etc. But I can't log into Walmart.com, or get beyond the home page of coldwatercreek.com or get Windows updates now on either the desktop or the laptop - all of which was done previously on the desktop before I hooked up the laptop...
I have lowered my security settings in IE, deleted all history files, cookes, passwords, added the sites to my Trusted Sites - all to no avail.
I am running Norton antivirus - and can still get those updates - and are current as of 11/13/09, rev 3 virus definitions. Also running Spybot S&D, but after running an update for it after these problems started, I am now getting an error there about "there were problems in the include file C:\...\Includes\Trojans.sbi" and the like - but always in the Includes file.
Don't know what else to try - anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks!
