Hi all,
Since networking my laptop that runs vista with my desktop that runs with xp, i have had a problem with the internet. The home page comes up, and at times when i put in an address or try to search for a site, it comes up with a box saying i need to connect to the net. When i go into the file menu, work offline is ticked. I untick it then it just goes back to working offline again itself. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
I have run my spyware and malware programs, about to do a virus check, but nothing has came up so far in the scan's i have done.
Thanks
Adam

Hello Adam!
I see that you have several issues going.. Could you please click on the PC Specs link in my signature below and post that up? That will help any and all that wish to help you get an idea as to what system we are dealing with. I thank you for your patience

Be sure to go to the bottom of the page and save changes..this may be why it doesn't show at the moment. Looking forward to your reply. ![]() |

Hi,
Everytime i went onto webpages it wanted me to connect to a dial up connection and when i cancelled it, it went to work offline, i worked out there was an option selected to dial a connection when a network is present, so i have turned that off and i am sure the problem is fixed now. Thanks Adam |
