Have you always had this problem, or did you just notice this?

How is your laptop connecting to the Internet (wired or wireless)? I'll assume you are using a wireless router. Can you connect to the back of the router with an ethernet cable and access the Internet? If so, how does the speed compare between wired/wireless connections? Is the slowness apparent on every network you are connected to or just at home? Have other people tried to connect to your network as well? How are their download times?

Also, what browser are you using? Have you tried using a different browser? How are your applications that connect to the Internet (iTunes Music Store, for example)? Do they take a long time to download as well?

Hello Nana! and Welcome back

Once you have addressed the questions posed by those ahead of me, I believe that we will want to review your system for malware.

I don't want to throw too much at you at once and there are a good many questions on the table already. Please post to me when you are ready for the malware review
