Does the problem machine have any issues if you remove the router from the picture? Just for testing - if you have not already - please remove the router and connect directly to the modem. Then provide a status.

Thanks!

I am just going to reinstall Vista on the machine. I assume that will fix it.

Apologies Xaviernox,

I've been down with a bug and not on top of my posts here. Is there any other reserach I can perform for you or have you committed/resigned yourself to a reinstall?

Sorry I haven't answered sooner; try the following steps to re-set TCP/IP on the affected machine:
  1. Click on Start button.
  2. Type Cmd in the Start Search text box.
  3. Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter on the keyboard, and click cmd.exe to run Command Prompt as Administrator. Allow the elevation request.
  4. Type netsh winsock reset in the Command Prompt shell, and then press the Enter key.
  5. Restart the computer.
And then, if that doesn't work, do these steps:
  1. Click on Start button.
  2. Type Cmd in the Start Search text box.
  3. Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter on the keyboard, and click cmd.exe to run Command Prompt as Administrator. Allow the elevation request.
  4. Type netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt in the Command Prompt shell, and then press the Enter key.
  5. Restart the computer.
