I Used to always Use a Cable connection to Use the internet on daily basis, recently I have been noticing that every 5minutes i am no longer receiving anything from my connection, I have to unplug then replug back in the cable or i have to 'repair' the connection. I found this to be Odd.

So what i did was got my other computer and plugged it in and everything worked fine, so im led to believe there's something wrong with my first computer (which is my better one by far , both are laptops).

Are there any ways i can Find my problem and then going about Fixing it, I can add reply's if more details are needed.

dell Xps 1710 Windows Xp , It has been working without problems but after 2 weeks of no use it pluged it in and it was faulty.

Probably your timeout to the internet expired. Or maybe it's a bad motherboard or driver.

Can you be a bit more specific, motherboard is not likey, a driver problem i cant see why i would have one but it is possible, but when you say the timeout to the intenet expired, can you place elborate on that?
