Could you do and answer my other questions please?

Could you also ring BT to test your broadband connection in case your line is faulty or down.They will resend the signal to test the line.

EDIT: Could you also please check windows firewal exceptions and allow list and your BT home hub has Norton in usage to.Please could you check Norton settings on the allow and exceptions.

the model is 2.0

i tired updating the driver but windows couldent find a driver to update it to, also there are no previous drivers for me to roll back to
ipconfig/flushdns: Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver cache

The bottom light is green and the top light is flashing orange

I run AVG and have windows firewall disabled

edit: Phoned bt, the line is ok

btw i greatly appreaciate the very speedy and useful responses

Ok save me typing all BTs help info up here are some links to try first.

Did you check the cable or try another one?Are they fully pushed in and has the hub connection always been like this?

Shut down/exit Norton see if you then can connect.
