Ok so I've got a huge problem. And I was searching for help on the internet, and while doing that I found this forum. So here goes.
Whenever I try to download stuff on the internet. It goes fine the first 2 seconds, but afterwards the download simply stops. The download speed drops to around 500 b/s and just a little download takes days to finish.
Same happens on some streaming sites where it only streams the first 2 seconds of the video and then stops.
Anyone seen this issue before or have an idea how to fix it?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Ps. Torrents work great.

Hi there,
How are you connecting to the Internet. What equipment are you using?

Can you elaborate on that? I'm not using wireless by the way. Also, it's not always after 2 seconds the download stops. That's mainly streaming. Downloads, for example from rapidshare, usually stops at 20-50%. Some streaming websites does work though. Youtube does for example. Last edited by xylian; 11-16-2008 at 12:49 PM. I've had this problem recently. It was with Mozilla 2.0 and I was also getting a problem when shutting down with XPCOM Event Viewer which is a part of Mozilla 2.0.
Upgrading to 3.0 fixed it. If you don't have Mozilla 2.0 and aren't getting the XPCOM error at shutdown then I'm not sure what else it could be. |
