Well, it's going with almost 400 KB/s and should take 5 minutes approx. So it's now going slow

I just reinstalled Vista, so no. It's not because I installed any applications.
I just tried on some other computer, same network. Here it went smooth to 40%. It then stopped, and continued 1 min later. Eventually, after a few stops, it finished.

Free Download Manager - absolutely free download accelerator and manager
Went to 85% this time, of a 100mb file. Then dropped to 0 B/s. Sometimes hanging around 200 B/s.
Edit: Completly dead now.
Edit2: Wait whaat, after beeing dead for 2 minutes it suddenly started again and finished the download. Madness? :s - Which is odd, since I've tried other download helpers/managers.

Don't have anything. Just reinstalled Vista, hoping that would fix the problem.

The download manager allowed you to resume the download. So I guess that's something.

Is the other PC on Vista too? And are you sure you don't have any applications installed other than the standard ones?

How many browsers? Just Firefox and IE?

I don't use Vista so can't give any advice.

It's good to know you found a Download Manager that works though.

The other pc is xp.

I've only got Firefox and IE.

But the download problem is somehow fixed now I guess. But now that we know this, have you got any idea why this affects my streaming and how I could fix this?

Thanks for all the help so far, greatly appreciate it
