Default Sending, not receiving packets ~

Hi
So pretty much about a week or 2 ago i had this problem. One day the internet is fine and the next morning it stopped working, literally happened overnight. But pretty much what's going on is I'm not receiving any packets but on the router there's 2 computers connected to it and 1 wireless. They all work except for that one computer. I've tried changing the nic card and the cable and reformatting but it hasn't done anything.

Just tell me if you need any computer specs and try to be simple with your answers because i'm not very computer smart lol.

Hey Terryy!

Nice picture of Marly M8. Welcome to PCHF. We have a wonderful group of techs here, and we are very sensitive to non-technical people too.

The thing is, when something happens all of a sudden like that, it immediately makes me think malware. So let's rule that out first. Can you please follow the instructions for installing and running HJT, from PreWork in my signature, (the bottom of my post). Then post that log back here, and we will move you to the New HJT Forum, and let the Security Team make sure that there isn't a malware reason for your problem. Once they have given you the green light, we can start looking at other possiblities.

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

Thanks a lot Terryy,

I'm going to move your thread to the New HJT Forum. If the techs give the green light we will move you back, and go forward from there.

Thanks for that Pancake, always want to play it safe don't ya know.

@Terryy,
OK, now we go back into the world and start non-malware troubleshooting.

Just to make sure that I didn't misunderstand, you reformatted the PC; wiped it clean, reformatted, and reloaded Windows?

Looking forward to your reply,
