Default Website issues

Hi all,

this may be an easy one for you to answer, but its got me well and truly stumped!!

I seem to be able to access most websites with no problems at all, however, when trying to access Google or Facebook (there may be others aswell, but thses are definates) nothing seems to happen!! I tried clearing all my cookies as suggested by a friend, and this worked for Facebook (i didnt try Google) however, it was only temporary, and that evening I was encountering the same issues again, and clearing all cookies doesnt seem to do the trick anymore!!

Any ideas??

My first suggestion is for you to download and install this program (it's free) CCleaner ... Alternative Download.
1. After installing...run the program...click on Analyzer...then click on Run Cleaner.
2. On the left side of the window, click on Registry...click on Scan for issues...click on Fix selected issues.

This program will cleanup your temp files and cookies.

Also, what URL are you trying to access?

How long are you "waiting for www.facebook.com"?

My IE displays the same indicator at time. That usually just means the URL's server is busy.

Hello, try opening browser and click tools/internet options/delete cookies/temp files/history.I know Gandalfs download should of done this already.

Or click start then run and type in box %temp% click ok.You can make sure temp files are deleted from there.

Click tools on your web browser and disable addons, you can disable them all and if they are needed in future you can always re-enable them.

If you are using IE have you tried FireFox and see if the same thing happens or if using FireFox does the same thing happen in IE?
