Default Internet Explorer cannot display...

Hi.

Recently I've encountered a problem where I get 'Internet Explorer cannot display the web page' message when accessing various web pages. It happens regularly, but probably about 15-20% of the time. Whenever it happens, I just hit refresh and the page I wanted appears, no problem. I run Windows Vista.

Any help appreciated.

Suggest you download and install this program (it's free) CCleaner ... Alternative Download.
1. After installing...run the program...click on Analyzer...then click on Run Cleaner.
2. On the left side of the window, click on Registry...click on Scan for issues...click on Fix selected issues.

Another suggestion.

Have you recently installed a new router or modem or changed ISP's?

I ask as it could be your MTU setting.

I won't go into detail in case none of the above are true.

I changed ISP 2 months ago - but it was fine until 2 weeks ago.

Ok well if it's worked fine until 2 weeks ago, then it's probably not your routers' MTU setting.

Have you tried a system restore to a point which you know was prior to the problems starting, ie: 3 weeks ago?
