I have recently purchased an Advent KC550 and a belkin wireless router modem. I have successfully installed the modem with the desktop with a wired system.I have ensured that the modem is set to discoverable but the laptop does not seem to find it. My suspicion is that the wireless card which is supposed to be installed is not.
PCworld advertised it as havign a wireless LAN b/g card. And when i click on the vista link with information as to why my laptop cant find any connections it asks me if the drivers for the card are installed. I re installed these drivers and still I cannot detect the network.
I tried to get onto the interface for the wireless card which is made my Ralink. A icon appears in the icon tray but does not appear on the screen. When i mouse over the icon all it says is "not exist".
Ive set up wireless networks with a laptop and wireless modem router before but this baffles me. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated

Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

Have you ran network setup wizard on both machines,set to share.

If you have diffrent operating systems you may need to rename the work groupe.
