does anyone know why firebox with google tool bar wont save user name/password even though it is set to do so.
does work on some sites but not all,the worst offender is gmail which used to save but now doesnt, have done all the usual checks for virus and malware etc.

Hi easyways and welcome to PCHF, sorry for the delay in getting back to you, Have you tried going to Tools>Options and then setting allow cookies until they expire?

Hi again, apologies, i had to go offline for a while. Have you tried un-installing Firefox, manually delete the Mozilla folder in "Program files" and "application data" then re-install Firefox. One of the utilities you used may have caused a problem, if you re-install Firefox from scratch it will reset to default and hopefully sort out the problem (Dont forget to backup your bookmarks first)

hi have reinstalled firefox couldnt quite work out how to save bookmarks but had most info stored in drafts folder so no probs reinserting what is needed.
had to use revo uninsyaller as win add remove is useless.
will keep you posted if you like and see how things go.
