Smile [Answered] Telephone points for network router

Hello everyone, hope all are well.

O.k., just moved into a flat and got BT to re-activate the telphone line so telephone works fine, no problems. The problem is, that the only phone socket that works is the BT one, which is not near my computer. The phone socket that is near my computer does not seem to work, i.e. there is no dial tone.

I spoke to BT to see whats wrong and they're quoting £200+ to take a look. The guy on the end of the phone seemed to suggest i could sort it out myself....

So, my question is, is it easy to sort out myself bearing in mind im not an electrician.

Thanks for any help.
