No, it's not my resolution settings that are doing it. I'm currently set to 1024X768 and I could go higher but then I have other issues with some older programs.
The problem all started with my Tiscali web-accelerator, which since moving to broadband have removed, and destroyed the original disc as well. The settings on that accelerator program allowed you to lower the resolution of graphics downloaded from web-pages to speed up page-downloading times. And I stupidly left it on a poor-quality setting before removing the software, as I had no idea that it would have permanently changed my settings.

Hi have you got the operating system cd?
You could try a repair install?
Perform a Repair Installation

I've completly re-installed windows from scratch after the trouble I had with hard drive/bios (thanks again by the way!)
I'm hoping this will sort itself out when I get the time to junk the current hard drive and install the seagate. Let's see if I get a chance tomorrow.
