Default [Fixed] IE7 cannot display certain pages

As title says, and there the forums I visit most.www.avforums.com and utube, also www.talkphotography.co.uk. Just getting IE cannot display this webpage. error. wasnt working yesterday and then for 2 hrs last night I could access them.

ISP is AOL running XP home edition with Mcafee firewall and antvirus.
Router is Speedtouch 585 software version 6.1.4.3
Winpatrol and Spybot search and destroy, lates version. Hosts secure.
Routers firewall set to standard.
Have tried accessing the above sites from my sons laptop, on same network, with same results.

I figured a router issue. Rebooted, same issues. Rolled back to last known good configuration, when I could access. Same issues. Have tried disabling firewall in router, no results. Have tried lowereing all security settings and putting all sites in trusted sites with IE. Have cleared all caches in IE and all history and passwords. Still cant open these sites

This was taken from events logs on router, dont know if its relevent.

xDSL linestate up (downstream: 2272 kbit/s, upstream: 288 kbit/s; output Power Down: 16.5 dBm, Up: 11.5 dBm; line Attenuation Down: 21.0 dB, Up: 13.0 dB; snr Margin Down: 31.0 dB, Up: 29.0 dB)

I know, **** DSL speed. Thats the UK for you. LOL

Have tried searching via google for the sites I cant access, clciked on the link in the search results and still "cannot display this webpage" appears. same on sons, even using his Firefox browser. Think its definately down to router?

Have you tried any other browsers:
Safari
Firefox
Opera

Also, how about windows firewall, could that be interfering?

Good luck

Yes and sons PC which uses Firefox, same results. Last night they could be accessed for around 3hrs then went of again. Phoned brother who could access all the sites I couldnt. Very infuriating. Will try restoring router to previously saved good configuration, although tried this yesterday.
